I built a 21H1 image from scratch on a Dell Laptop and configured settings for our systems. I was able to successfully capture it. I created a completely new Task Sequence to install the OS. I boot to the MDT boot key, select the task sequence and it starts the install. It will format the drive It will install drivers on the machine It will install the OS and then throw this error:. I will mention that our normal Images are installing without issue. Another thing I noticed was when I tried to Edit the Unattend.

Catalog creation failed running AIK from Win 7. Based on my research, this error might be happen if you use an outdated Windows AIK. Please make sure that you download the latest version of Windows AIK.

It is a non-beta version. I also did a complete uninstall and reinstall of this download. I am using everything that is included in the DVD. Using the clg file that is in the sources folder that comes natively with the DVD works fine. If I try to create a new one even without making any changes to install. Please check the permission on the install. Then re-load it to generate new catalog. This didn't work either.
I have full access to the machine and UAC is disabled. As soon as I follow the steps outlined above, it fails. It is a x64 wim file on x64 Windows 7. Please read the following similar issue:.
